Report on the Visit to “Lokrang” Exhibition at Shilpgram

The Department of Fashion Design has organized a visit to the prestigious “Lokrang” exhibition held at Shilpgram(JKK).  This remarkable event showcased the creative brilliance of artisans from across India, reflecting the country’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

The exhibition featured an extensive range of products, including traditional textiles, handwoven fabrics and intricately designed decorative items, especially curated for the festive season of Diwali. Each stall reflected the unique regional artistry, skillfully combining traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics. The meticulous craftsmanship in every piece highlighted the dedication, creativity and cultural significance embedded in Indian handicrafts.

The décor and overall arrangement of Shilpgram added to the immersive experience. Thoughtful displays and thematic settings complemented the showcased products, making the visit both visually captivating and intellectually enriching.
