B.Design 1st semester students visited AKFD Studio, Jaipur as part of the “Wood – An Art & Design” module, led by Ms. Suhani Jain, with Ms. Deepali Verma, who motivated students to explore innovative design ideas. The visit offered hands-on exposure to wood as a creative medium—covering joinery, carving, polishing, and finishing.
Students interacted with designers and craftsmen, gaining valuable insights into sustainability, innovation, and market-oriented design thinking. The experience highlighted how classroom learning connects with real-world fashion, product design, and creative marketing strategies, inspiring them to transform concepts into impactful creations.
Such explorations are crucial in fashion and design education as they spark new ideas, encourage experimentation, and build awareness of design as a bridge between creativity and consumer needs. The visit to AKFD Studio enriched the students’ vision of integrating aesthetics with functionality, sustainability, and market appeal.
