The Department of History at SS Jain Subodh Girls PG College organized a dynamic and intellectually stimulating event, featuring two competitions: a Poster Making Competition focusing on the Cultural Achievements of Indian Rulers and a PPT Presentation Competition centered on Numismatics and Epigraphy.
Poster Making Competition: Cultural Achievements of Indian Rulers:
Participants showcased their artistic prowess and historical insight by creating visually appealing posters that highlighted the rich cultural achievements of Indian rulers throughout history.
PPT Presentation Competition: Numismatics and Epigraphy:
The PPT Presentation Competition delved into the fascinating realms of numismatics and epigraphy, providing a platform for participants to explore the historical context of coins and inscriptions. Presentations covered topics such as the evolution of currency in ancient India, deciphering inscriptions to unveil historical narratives, and the importance of numismatic studies in understanding economic history.

A distinguished faculty members Dr. Anju Sharma (HOD of the department of history) and Dr. Pooja sirola (Assistant professor of history) assessed the entries based on creativity, historical accuracy, presentation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex historical concepts to a diverse audience.
After careful evaluation, winners were selected for both competitions. The results of poster making competition are as follows:
1st prize: Shahista Parveen, M.A previous (Akbar)
2nd prize: Rabiya Bano, B.A 2nd year ( Ashoka)
3rd prize: Simran Meena, B.A 3rd year ( Sawai Jai Singh)
And the results of PPT presentation competition are:
1st prize: Priyanka Dewani and Kajal Dhanka, B.A 2nd year ( Coins of Akbar)
2nd prize: Isha Chaudhary and Simran Meena, B.A 2nd year ( mehrauli pillar inscription)
3rd prize: Maya Gurjar and Anita Bishnoi , B.A 2nd year ( Kushana's coins )
The winners were awarded with certificates of appreciation and prizes by the principal Dr. Rita Jain mam, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the exploration and dissemination of historical knowledge.
